What we have to offer......
Dentistry For The Health Conscious, Inc. was aware and educated when our new office was designed. State of the art filtration systems are utilized to make sure the air is of the cleanest quality available. Although we are in a building with other health care practitioners we have our own heat/air system, to assure no cross contamination. Deciding to be environmentally conscious an amalgam separator was installed. This prevents the mercury and other metals removed from the mouth from entering the waste water. This filter is removed regularly and disposed of according to state law for bio-hazardous materials. We have our office air checked by an industrial company to assure safe levels of mercury and other metal levels. Our equipment is state of the art, digital x-rays as well as intra-oral camera for less radition and a good view of the situation. With Dr. Meyer's and Dr. Sawan’s numerous hours of continued education chances are they are familiar with your personal situations and are aware and informed on what to do. Medically compromised? Dentistry for the Health Conscious works closley with your practitioners to ensure your complete safety during your treatments here. For those who are terrified of the dentist we practice “gentle dentistry” and the option of Intravenous Conscious Sedation or “sleep dentistry."
Our Principals.....
We ask that you read and become educated on your current concerns . Freedom of choice is the cornerstone of democracy. That each individual should decide the course of his or her own life is an ideal most people cherish. Making good choices requires individual knowledge and access to information. People cannot make wise decisions without being aware of the alternatives available to them and without knowing the consequences of their decisions. American law recognizes and supports this philosophy through the doctrine of informed consent. For the patient’s permission to be valid, the patient must be aware of the nature of his or her ailment, the proposed treatment, the available alternatives to the proposed treatment, and any “substantial risks” involved in undergoing the proposed treatment and each alternative. A “substantial risk” is often defined as one that is significant to a patient in deciding whether or not to submit to a particular treatment.
